Jeff King

Jeff is a Licensed Professional Counselor trained in EMDR and DBT. He has experience with substance use therapy, individual counseling, crisis management, couples therapy, and family therapy.

Even before his introductory course in psychology, Jeff was fascinated by the idea of helping others work through their issues in life. As an undergraduate at the University of North Texas, he took course after course in psychology working toward his degree. He was accepted into a graduate studies lab as an assistant conducting research, but he always felt there was something missing. He watched friends struggle with addiction, depression, and disorders in their lives to no avail, as they relied solely on the “wisdom” of this world to guide them through their challenges. He decided to further his education and graduated with a master’s degree in counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary.

Since graduation, Jeff has had the privilege of counseling teens, adults, families, and couples in residential treatment, private practice, and acute care settings in Fort Worth and North Richland Hills. For him, it has been an honor to walk through life with people and help them remember or create their goals, transform their current situation, and walk through life’s fires to find purpose. Life’s too short to be unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled. Jeff would love to help you find purpose and live a life that you find worth living.
