Life Coaching

“A life coach is a catalyst for getting a person to find the answers themselves by asking challenging and thought provoking questions. The process is forward looking and is focused on the action you are willing to take to get what you want out of life.”

His Story Life Coaching

We are often asked the question, what is life coaching? Coaching is a relationship like no other. Your His Story certified coach is by turns a trusted friend, a cheerleader, an accountability partner, a hand to help you stand, a foot to kick you in the rear, but most of all, a guide to your journey through life.

Coaching may be best described as an unfiltered and unbiased mirror, which is not always comfortable to look into, but can always be trusted to provide honest insight. At its core, coaching is the process of identifying areas of your life where, with some minor tweaks, you can move from feeling merely content to feeling as if you are truly living your purpose.

A His Story Certified Coach recognizes that life can be difficult and at times frustrating – Christian life even more so. Many Christians struggle to find joy and peace in their lives due to limited perception of what is possible. This is where coaching can be critical – in helping identify what is blocking you from achieving your goals. Due to your perception, fear can drive your decisions, and lies about yourself limit your life.

Fears and lies determine the depth and quality of the relationships around you. At His Story, we believe that God has not provided life with the intention that the person lives in misery or fear, yet many people do. Our His Story Certified Coaches will help you to make the adjustments to your thought processes and behavior to find lasting joy and peace in every aspect of your life.

His Story provides coaching because we firmly believe in the value of coaching – in the importance of the support, encouragement, and accountability that coaching provides. His Story certifies our own Coaches because we know that Biblically sound guidance and support is the only path to meaningful life change.

How do you know if you need coaching? Do you have any aspect of your life or your Christian walk with which you are unsatisfied? Are there any areas in your life about which you feel uncertain? Do you enjoy your work? Do you find yourself struggling with the same battles time and again? Do you live in fear? Do you have dreams and aspirations that you feel unable to achieve? In short, if you are not completely satisfied and at peace with the life you are living, then coaching can help you!

Sometimes you just can’t see the forest for the trees. You are so wrapped up in everyday life that indeed life just passes you by. Coaching enables you to see different alternatives and to take a step back and actually examine your life and all of its component parts. This in turn leads to greater self-awareness, focus and accountability.
The coaching conversation always focuses on four questions:

  • What do you want?
  • How might you get it?
  • How might you commit to making this happen?
  • How will you know if you got it?

The coach guides the client into generating his own insights and solutions so that the client truly owns the outcome and understands his personal potential for maintaining a positive direction in the future.
