Katerina is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Josh Freeman, MA, LPC-S. Katerina received her Bachelor of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Arizona and worked in research before pursuing her Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. Katerina is fascinated by the human experience and capacity for resilience. She knows that while there can be tremendous joy in this life, no person’s story is spared of difficulty and suffering. Experiencing trauma, loss, and transitions often fills our hearts with questions about who we are and what life is about. She is honored to listen, think, and feel deeply with her clients and work together to find a reason and way forward.
Katerina helps people live more effectively and purposefully. In a relationship of safety, respect, and acceptance, she collaborates with her clients to better understand themselves and how their life experiences impact them. By exploring the values that her clients most deeply hold, she helps them craft a vision of living that is worthy of them and find creative solutions to overcome what gets in their way. Her hope is for her clients is to uncover a new enthusiasm for being and confidence in facing life’s trials with improved emotional awareness, coping skills, self-understanding, and relationships. Above all else, Katerina wants her clients to know that wherever they find themselves today, they don’t have to be there alone.
