Eric Hinton is driven by a conviction to engage Kingdom workers in their God-given mission. Eric served at Dallas Christian College for nearly 15 years in several positions, with a passion to help students discern and protect their missional calling. God has created a desire in every person to live a life of peace, purpose, and passion, and Eric believes that those values can only be realized fully when we are walking obediently toward the calling that the Lord has placed on each of us.
After graduating from Ozark Christian College with a BA in Biblical Literature, Eric served in youth ministry with his wife, Sarah, for three years. Eric then moved onto the DCC campus as the Resident Director in the men’s residence hall for ten years. He received a Master of Arts concentrating in Church Leadership from Dallas Baptist University. Eric served as the Dean of Students for five years and then directed the Initiative for Kingdom Engagement (IKE) at DCC. He loves being a part of aligning people with God’s purpose for them and setting their trajectory as they launch into their mission.
Eric enjoys cycling, skiing, hiking, and generally anything outdoors. He loves cross-cultural experiences and thrives on sharing those opportunities with his family and students. Eric and Sarah were married in 2000 and have two fantastic kids. Eric is an ordained minister, and he and his family worship with Valley Creek Church in Lewisville, TX.
