Cindy Stites is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. Cindy graduated with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and has provided counseling in Texas since 2010. She joined the counseling staff at His Story in 2011. Since 2011, Cindy has received advanced training in Emotion Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, the Gottman Method, Cognitive Processing Therapy and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy. Cindy has a passion for helping people to work through difficulties in relationship and in life. She believes in the power of relationship with God and others to bring healing to our lives. She partners with clients to explores the connection between thoughts, feelings and behaviors and how each one impacts the other. She especially enjoys working with couples and women. She also enjoys leading small groups and bible study. Cindy has been married since 1990. She and her husband have two grown children and two golden retrievers. When not working, Cindy enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
