“Your life does not get better by chance, it gets better by change.” – Jim Rohn
Becky is honored when someone makes the decision to work with her to change their life. One on one, she creates a compassionate, collaborative, conversational, and trusting atmosphere. Her goal is to explore your feelings, treat root issues, and discover your strengths to apply them toward healing and growth. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship issues, self-esteem, or simply need help decreasing stress, you do not have to do it alone. She would love to help you resolve your problems, enhance your life, and lead you toward the peace, joy, and hope that God has planned for you.
Becky believes the best way to approach recovery is by exploring and treating all aspects of a person: emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Training (CPT), and Christian based principles where desired.
Becky is a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern and has been with His Story Coaching and Counseling since August 2015. She has a Master’s degree in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University and an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Baylor University.
She enjoys working with women ages 12 and up. She is experienced in working with PTSD, trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, adolescent issues, relationship issues, relaxation training, and self-esteem.
Becky has been married since 2006 to her college sweetheart. She enjoys being a part of her church community, spending time with family and friends, traveling, and being around all kinds of animals.
