I just finished this and it’s filled with practical advice for men. Located in DC, Batterson pulls from lots of historical biographies and museum facts to share pictures of manly men over the ages. Add (John) Eldgredisms and stories from Mark’s own family life and its an easy read for the man that maybe doesn’t read very much. Add it to your library.

Pastor friend recommended this as one of the best books he’s read on anxiety and depression. Written by a pastor but designed to speaks to all of us. Let me know what you think if you’ve read it!

Recommended to me from a variety of sources, I’m anxious to get into this powerful book from Ruth Haley Barton. With this painful admission “I’m tired of helping others enjoy God―I just want to enjoy God for myself.” , Ruth Haley Barton invites us to an honest exploration of what happens when spiritual leaders lose track of their souls.

Ever wonder what you should be doing or if what you’re doing is what God intended?
